Susan Isaac – Southwell Minster from Bishop’s Drive

I wanted to say a little more about the five paintings I have in the Open Studios Notts exhibition at Rufford.  In this winter view of Southwell Minster the open gateway of the Bishops residence invites the passerby to stop and gaze at one of the loveliest and most complete views of the Minster. From this vantage point, before trees take on their summer mantel, the entrance gate and the gate-post offer stepping stones up toward the pepper-pot spires.
