- Really delighted that my ‘Berlin 1’ piece has been named for 1st prize in the ‘Our Changing World’ summer exhibition at the D31 Art Gallery. One third of a very personal response to spending time in this extraordinary city.I've written about my living sculpture ‘Green Fuse' in this blog piece (you will need to copy and paste the link) - https://susan-isaac.co.uk/2021/08/30/the-green-fuse-part-of-the-living-landscape-project. Part of the Living Landscape artists trail, curated by Angie Atmadjaja and @rebeccajblackwood - at @the_hopbarn from 1 Sept to 28 Nov.I've just sent out a newsletter with a summary of what I'm up to at the moment (there is a link on my website via the bio or copy and paste this: https://mailchi.mp/dc46d7136417/summer-round-up).Another glimpse of my living sculpture, 'Green Fuse', in progress at @the_hopbarn for their Living Landscape trail. This is the third part of what I have come to think of as a narrative triptych, highlighting the latent power of the natural world. The second piece I have in the @wirksworthfestival 'Online Art Prize' is my painting of "Newstead Abbey from across the Lake". This Gothic ruin was part of Lord Byron's home in Nottinghamshire. It retains its beautiful façade facing out over the ornamental lake - the dissolving tracery and hollow spaces letting in the autumnal colours of the woodland beyond.
